Hollywood Remembers and honors those affected by HIV and AIDS, both past and present, living and dead. We educate those at high risk of infection, especially those marginalized by social and economic forces. We advocate for legal, social, and economic justice for those whose voices are silenced by public stigma and internalized non-acceptance or shame. We assist those living with HIV and AIDS today. Welcome to the new HollywoodRemembers.org
Hollywood Remembers was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in August 2008. Our mission is to honor and remember the lives of those lost to AIDS through service to those who live with, and continue the fight against HIV today.
Hollywood Remembers is unique among HIV/AIDS service organizations in that we are an all-volunteer organization focused on serving the most marginalized in our society – specifically youth, prisoners, ex-offenders, and the homeless.
For the past several years, Hollywood Remembers has been mapping a more ambitious strategy for education, assistance, and advocacy for people living with HIV/AIDS and this new website is just one small step in that ongoing process. One major change in the site is that we've moved it to a free "blogger.com" host, streamlining our ability to post and reducing overhead costs for an organization that is already 100% volunteer run.
Thank you for visiting the new website, we hope you enjoy it and all of the new programs and services being offered by Hollywood Remembers.
