A third-generation Californian, Dan is the head Pastor at Hollywood Lutheran Church. He previously served as director of Lutheran Olympic Ministry for the 1984 Los Angeles games and interim executive director of Ecumedia. He currently chairs the bishop's Task Force on Prison and Jail Ministries for the Southern California West Synod.
For over thirty years, Dan and his spouse Carl Hunter have been strong advocates for the civil rights and full participation of LGBT people in church and society. Dan began facing the reality of HIV/AIDS when his next-door neighbor died from a mysterious infection in 1983-marking the beginning of a 20+ year period of AIDS funerals.

Andrew Johnston, Hollywood Remembers Vice-President, Secretary, and technical guru, is a graduate of The College of Santa Fe with a Bachelor of Arts. He has been with Hollywood Remembers since 2008 and living in the Hollywood area for nearly 15 years. During that time he has worked as a film editor and videographer for numerous film and television productions, including the 2011 production of “Voices from the Fray: Celebrating the Unsung Heroes” which told the stories of early responders to the HIV/AIDS crisis.

Ted earned his BA from St. Patrick’s College in Mountain View, CA. As a person with AIDS, Ted serves as a voice of personal experience and trusted advisor. He hopes to prevent further infections and save lives while remembering the many friends who have gone before him. In addition to serving on the Board of Hollywood Remembers, he also serves as a mentor for people with HIV/AIDS, and as a volunteers for the SMART Continuum and works closely with the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department to support people being released from jail, with referrals, and assistance in moving forward.

Dr. Cadden earned his M.D. from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada. He completed his residency and Chief Residency in Internal Medicine at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in New York City, a facility which housed one of the largest AIDS units in the United States. Dr. Cadden furthered his subspecialty training in Infectious Diseases at the University of Southern California.
In 2005 Dr. Cadden was appointed Medical Director of the Rand Schrader Health & Research Center, LA County’s largest HIV clinic. Dr. Cadden is also Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine for the Department of Medicine and the Division of Infectious Diseases. He serves as a commissioner on the Los Angeles County Commission on HIV and as Chairman of the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services HIV Medicine Best Practices Committee. This venue offers him the opportunity to engage regularly with the medical directors of all other County HIV clinics and evaluate to improve the delivery of care to HIV positive persons throughout the Los Angeles metro area.

Christine is a Los Angeles native who holds a B.A. in Political Science from Cal Poly - San Luis Obispo and a Master’s in Public Administration from CSU – Los Angeles, where her thesis focused on HIV in Latino communities. She has worked extensively with marginalized communities including in education surrounding preventable diseases and infections. In addition to her work with Hollywood Remembers, Christine also serves as the Volunteer Coordinator for Operation Help the Homeless.

Dr. Eddy Sattah is an Infectious Disease/HIV Specialist at LAC/USC Medical Center and staff physician at the Rand Schrader Clinic and at the Center for Community Health (Early Intervention Clinic) in downtown Los Angeles. He earned his Medical Degree at Emory University School of Medicine, completed his medical internship at Saint Louis University, and completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases at the University of Southern California. As a physician at the Early Intervention Clinic, Dr. Sattah works directly with homeless populations to ensure they receive high quality medical care.

A San Francisco Bay-area native, Matt graduated from Reed College in Portland, Oregon, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa honor society. Matt returned to California and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of California Hastings College of the Law in 2011, graduating cum laude. While at Hastings, Matt was an Articles Editor of the Hastings West-Northwest Journal of Environmental Law & Policy, and worked as a judicial extern for the Honorable Marilyn H. Patel of the US District Court, Northern District of California. He is currently an Associate Attorney at Colantuono and Levin, PC.
Justin Hager
Originally from Wisconsin, Justin is a nationally recognized LGBT advocate whose campaigns for equality have earned him recognition from the New York Times, the Advocate Magazine, and the Associated Press. In 2009 he was the recipient of the Campus Pride National Voice and Action Award and in 2010 he was an invited guest of President Barack Obama at the first White House LGBT Pride Month Reception and Celebration. Since graduating with a Juris Doctor from the University of California Hastings College of the Law in 2012, Justin has worked as the Communications Director and Press Secretary for California State Assemblyman Mike Gatto.
